Dry Screening

Dry screening is a generic term applied to the manufacture of closely graded silica sands.

Typically available grades are 16/30 silica sand, which has a particle size distribution range of 0.5 - 1mm, 14/25, which has a particle size distribution range of 0.7 - 1.2mm and 8/16, which has a particle size distribution range of 1 - 2mm.

Applications for these grades include artificial sports surfaces, water filtration, industrial resin and cement-based flooring compounds and non-slip surfaces.

These applications rely heavily on the close grading and high hardness of the silica.
